Performance That Holds The Line
Factory intercoolers do not perform adequately. They may be sufficient only in short bursts. The factory intercooler is designed to be cost effective to produce and do its job only well enough that the average person calmly commuting to work will not have an issue. If you're reading this, you are probably not calmly commuting to work as your car's only use case. As load increases and temperatures rise, intake efficiency drops and power fades.
This intercooler is engineered for sustained operation under demanding conditions.
Thermal stability is the priority. Intake temperatures remain controlled under repeated pulls and extended highway load, preserving power output when conditions become demanding.
On a stock calibration, gains of up to 10whp and 10wtq are observed. With a JB4, increases of 15whp can be had. During extended wide-open-throttle operation, this power gain increases over time when compared to the factory intercooler. The factory intercooler will heat soak, and we have seen a 25+whp difference between a heat-soaked factory intercooler and this one under identical strenuous conditions.
No tuning is required. Drivability remains unchanged. Installation is fully bolt-on.
Engineered With Purpose
Cooling efficiency depends on thermal mass, airflow exposure, and precise fitment.
This system uses a bar-and-plate core that is over 30 percent thicker than OEM, increasing heat capacity and slowing saturation. A stepped core profile improves airflow contact across the surface area. A thermal-coated finish raises thermal surface emissivity, increasing radiative heat dissipation from the intercooler core and reducing heat retention during sustained operation.
Fitment includes OEM-level alignment and straightforward installation. Supporting hardware includes 4-ply silicone couplers selected for long-term durability.
